Children in Preschool through 1st Grade are dismissed during the worship service to a special time of learning and fun just for them.
Children in grades 2-5 gather in the Jr. High room during the worship service to learn and test their knowledge on the books of the Bible, stories of the Bible and the people of the Bible. From A to Z and everyone and everything in between, most of all, the children will have fun learning how to use their Bible all while working to become Bible Maniacs!
Sunday School is held at 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m., with classes provided for every age group beginning at three years of age. There is some combining of classes at both the youth and adult levels during the summer months; otherwise, separate classes are provided for 3 year olds, 4 year olds, kindergarten and each grade level through 5th grade. Youth in 6th, 7th and 8th grade combine for the junior high class and youth in grades 9 – 12 combine for the senior high class. Youth classes follow ta christian curriculum. Several adult classes are available. Those interested in visiting with us during the Sunday School hour are encouraged to visit with different classes as each has a unique blend of enthusiastic adults with varied interests. Adult classes are not separated by age, but more by areas of interest and preference in learning about God and how to make him part of your everyday life.
Under the leadership provided by our Youth Ministry Council and Associate Pastor, Scott Benner, Zion has active youth groups for both junior high and senior high age youth. In addition to Bible study nights, youth have the opportunity to participate in a variety of service programs and group building activities.
Junior High Fellowship
Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities throughout the year. Our ministry to our junior high students is focused on giving them the spiritual guidance and support they need during these fun and challenging years.
Senior High Fellowship
Students in grades 9 through 12 are encouraged to participate in fellowship and Bible study on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. This is an excellent time for receiving spiritual development, while building solid relationships. Our times of study focus on many different areas and are delivered in several different medians. This time of fellowship offers a wonderful network of support for our senior high students, and will challenge them in their spiritual walk.
